The care plan and the respite days

A care plan states which days your child will come to the childcare facility. Doesn't your child come on an agreed day? Then you must use a respite day.

Care plan

What is a care plan?

A care plan states which days your child will come to the childcare facility. For example: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Who makes the care plan?

You register your child at the childcare facility. The childcare facility will make a care plan with you. Some childcare facilities want your child to come at least half-time or more often. Do you want to know how many days your child has to go? Read the information sheet of the childcare facility.

Respite days

What is a respite day?

In the childcare facility with income rate, you pay for the days you have scheduled. So your child must come to the childcare facility on all the days in the care plan.

For example: the plan states that your child goes to the childcare facility on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Then your child must go every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Doesn't your child come on an agreed upon day? Then you must use a respite day. A respite day is used when your child is absent on an agreed day in the care plan.

How many respite days do you get?

The rules about respite days may differ:

Tip! Are you going to enroll your child in a childcare facility?

At the childcare facility with no income rate, it's different.

You pay the same price every month. Even if your child does not come to the childcare facility for a few days.
